Court Reports Completed

Corrections staff prepare a variety of reports to assist the Court.  The major reports are as follows:

Pre Sentence Reports [PSR].
"A Probation Officer shall, if required to do so by the Court, prepare and file with the Court a report in writing relating to the accused for the purpose of assisting the Court in imposing a sentence or in determining whether the accused shall be discharged, pursuant to Section 730"

Bail Verification Reports [BVR]
The Judicial Interim Release program commonly known as Bail Supervision, provides an alternative to remanding an accused person in custody pending trial/sentencing.  Program staff prepare reports for the court to assist in the process of decision-making by the Court.

Impaired Driver Treatment Placement Reports [I.D.T.P.]
Corrections and Public Safety provides reports on impaired drivers to assist the court in sentencing and makes recommendations regarding those persons whom may benefit from treatment through the Impaired Driver Treatment Program in Prince Albert.

Intensive Probation Electronic Monitoring Reports
Referrals to the Intensive Supervision / Electronic Monitoring program come from the court judge, prosecutor, defense counsel or a probation officer.  Only the court can order this program.  Normally a Court Report is prepared and the probation officer makes an assessment whether the electronic monitoring program should be explored for sentencing/interim release.
