2010 Codes Adoption

Saskatchewan adopts the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) as the minimum standard for the construction and renovation of buildings throughout the province. The National Fire Code of Canada (NFC) is adopted as the minimum standard for the fire safe operation of buildings and facilities. Adoption of the 2010 National Building Code of Canada and the 2010 National Fire Code of Canada proposed for adoption on September 1, 2011 have been delayed pending finalization.
